The Interdisciplinary Substance Program (ISUP) has expanded with the opening of a new Smoking Cessation Clinic at Providence Health Care. Housed within the John Ruedy Clinic at St. Paul’s Hospital, the clinic offers evidence-based assistance for reducing or quitting smoking. It is led by Dr. Milan Khara and operates on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
Referrals can be made through fax (604-297-9670) or email (jrcinfo@providencehealth.bc.ca), and both in-person and virtual follow-up appointments are available. Healthcare professionals are encouraged to refer patients, and self-referral via email is also accepted. The clinic extends its services to everyone, regardless of HIV status.
